This is Walden Pond’s official blog on wordpress. This will be an up-to-date resource for park visitors, interpreters and Thoreau enthusiasts alike. We will be posting year round interpretive programs, any important updates about the reservation itself as well as general announcements to the public.
Eventually some of the announcements may include pond photography, art/poetry exhibitions or even developing an RSS feed so that visitors will be notified via email/mobile phones if and when the reservation closes due to maximum capacity. Once that is developed we can work on posting/informing the masses about daily water temperature and existing park conditions (i.e., trail closings).
A big thanks to John from Halibut Point State Park who inspired us to put this together this past week.
