Walden’s Fascinating Forest

Into the Woods – How has the forest changed since Henry David Thoreau lived at Walden Pond? Identify some of our common trees and other flora at Walden Pond today and discover fascinating facts and historical uses of these trees and plants in Massachusetts. We’ll hike approximately one mile over moderate terrain while finding and identifying specific flora. Please meet at the Thoreau house replica, located near the main parking area. Be sure to wear footwear appropriate for hiking. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please call 978.369.3254. Parking Fee: $5
