Celebrate school vacation week by joining Henry David Thoreau portrayed by historian Richard Smith on Monday, February 20th at Walden Pond. From 1pm to 2pm Thoreau will be entertaining visitors at the house replica near the main parking lot. At 2pm, Mr. Thoreau will lead a walk to the original house site at the pond. Dress for winter weather, all children must be accompanied by an adult. After the hike join park staff for hot chocolate at park headquarters.
